SUDDEN VACATION

Yesterday was a sudden vacation for my family and i.It all began when i voluntered to acompany my neighbour to attend a seminar on Economic Corridor for the East Coast of Malaysia.I voluntered since her manager could not attend the seminar.Unfortunately she went with her manager without my knowledge and i only knew after she was half way to the seminar when she called me.
A few days prior to that i have announced to my two daughters that i'll be going to Terengganu for the seminar and their mother is following me.They pastered to follow us and i agreed. They were all in high spirit and looking forward for the trip since they have not gone to Terengganu before. When i recieved the call that my neighbour has gone without me,they were all depressed.Looking at their faces i could not help but agree to go along even it's not for the seminar.
We started our journey from home at 4.30 am so as to ensure that we have ample time spend in Terengganu.
The pets were quite surprised learning that we fed them as early as 4.00 am which is rather odd for them.My son did not sleep at all and to our surprise he prepared us breakfast which is fried mee hoon for the journey. We ate our breakfast in the car to save time for the journey. The children were already fast asleep once they have taken their breakfast and only in Kerteh which is a petroleum town that i woke them up to see the lights coming from the refinery. What a wonderful view to see all the lights lighted up all over the refinery area.It reminds me of an outer space movie that i have seen before.
We reached Terengganu around 7.30 am and straight went for breakfast at Losong town where they have this wonderful Nasi Dagang but to my dismay it does not taste like it was before. We went to our friend's house whoose husband has just past away recently(Abg Zaki(deceased)and Kak Ani). They were wonderful couple who would extent their help without any excuse once you seek one.The daughter was trying to cope up with the lost of the father since they were close before. The only advise i could give is that life has to go on even if we like it or not.We could not change the Takdir that ALLAH has set upon us except to accept it gracefully and i always believe that for every mishaps that comes along there will be some good in it.
We went to Taman Tamaddun Islam which the state government has build in Pulau Wan Man.The goverment has build the replica of all famous mosques in the world.Unfortunately the place has just been pre launched, alot of landscape is still under construction.I hope to come back again after awhile to give time for the landscape to mature first. But one thing that i notice is that the Xian Mosque of China have all the figurines on their minaret.I wonder what our Ulama will have to say about that.
We dropped by at the state museum,it boast the biggest museum in the country but lack of artifacts for display. After our body has been cooled by the museum airconditioned we moved to the city as usual for my wife's shopping. She bought quite alot of unnecessary things and of we shoot home.On the way home still in the city area we spotted an aquarium shop.We stopped by to buy some fishes.
We reached home around 9.10pm,my son drove all the way from Terengganu, not bad for a young boy who has learnt driving a couple of months back. The first thing we did was to take care of the fishes bought in Terengganu.I released them in a secured place in our fish pond. My son straight away went for his bath and took the bed without wishing us goodnight.I guess he must have been tired. Its his first long distance driving which is around 200 km.
To my surprise this morning woke up and have a look at the fish.It was gone. Not even a trace of them. Before this my goldfish was gone too.We suspected our great dane must have eaten it,but last night we make sure that the great dane was in his kennel. So looks like Thomas O'Malley has been acquitted without his defence being called. As of now i'm still wandering who the culprit is.My wife suggested that we install a cctv.So much keeping fish as a hobby.
